Native to slow and fast moving rivers and streams of South America, Corydoras are peaceful bottom-dwellers known for their gentle nature, armored bodies, & social behavior. They thrive in stable, well-oxygenated aquariums with soft substrates like sand to protect their sensitive barbels. Corydoras do best in groups of 5 or more and prefer calm environments with hiding spots & plenty of open space to forage. They are active, curious, and an excellent addition to peaceful community tanks.
Recommended Tank Size: A minimum of 60 litres
- Corydoras are social fish & best kept in groups of 5 or more.
- Providing soft substrate & plenty of space helps reduce stress & encourages natural behavior.
- May become stressed if kept alone.

- Corydoras grow steadily, typically reaching adult size in 6–9 months with proper care.
