Overview
Family: Poeciliidae
Mollies are active, live-bearing fish known for their vibrant colors, peaceful nature, & adaptability to community aquariums. Native to Central America, these fish do best in groups & are often kept in planted tanks with plenty of space to swim. Mollies also benefit from slightly brackish water with good circulation. They are hardy but thrive in clean, well-maintained tanks with stable conditions. Males can be territorial, especially during breeding, so keeping more females-to-males helps maintain harmony.
