Overview
Family: Cyprinidae
Native to freshwater rivers and streams across South and Southeast Asia, danios are known for their energetic swimming and peaceful nature. These hardy fish are ideal for community tanks and adapt well to a range of water conditions. Danios thrive in groups of 5 or more and prefer long tanks with plenty of open space for swimming. They do well in slightly cooler water than some tropical species and benefit from moderate water flow. Provide a secure lid, as danios are fast swimmers and can jump when startled.
